We are looking for Chef De Parties and Commi Chef’s
1. COMMIS CHEF
Key Responsibility
- Assisting in the food preparation process.
- Cooking and preparing elements of high quality dishes.
- Preparing vegetables, meats and fish.
- Assisting other Chefs`
- Helping with deliveries and restocking
- Assisting with stock rotation Cleaning stations
- Contributing to maintaining kitchen and food safety standard.
COMMIS CHEF Experience requirements
- Basic knowledge of all sections
- Ability to work under supervision of all limited range
- Ability to produce good quality basic food
- Understanding of health safety
- Good oral communication
- Team management skills
- High level of attention to details.
- Adaptability to change and willingness to embrace new ideas and processes
- Team player
2. CHEF DE PARTIE
Chef de Partie Experience requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organizational skills
- In- depth knowledge of the standards of baking, cooking and grilling techniques
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast – paced environment
- Ability to quickly learn new recipes and new cooking procedures
- Time management skills
- Ability to work efficiently and cooperatively in a team environment
- Ability to solve problems quickly
- Ability to work under supervision of all limited range
- Understanding of health safety
- Adaptability to change and willingness to embrace new ideas and processes
QUALIFICATION
- Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE)
- Those with a diploma in hotel and catering, hospitality management and front office, will have an added advantage.
