Job Description
The main purpose of the Mortician role is to provide professional embalming and mortuary services, ensuring the respectful preparation and care of deceased individuals for burial or cremation.
- Assist in home and hospital removals.
- Mortuary record keeping.
- Washing, dressing and embalming of deceased for burial or cremation.
- Cleaning of the mortuary and showroom
- Assisting in tent pitching
- Assisting with burials where assigned.
- Any other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications and Attributes
The person must possess the following:
- An MSCE
- 1 year experience.
- Embalming Certificate will be an added advantage.
- Excellent people skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Physically strong and dexterous.
