JOB TITLE: RADIOGRAPHER (1)
JOB PURPOSE: As a diagnostic radiographer, you will work in a range of hospital departments, acquiring images to help with the diagnostic of illness and injuries.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- conduct general x-rays, special examination like Barium studies, IVP/IVU, HSG,
- Conducting ultrasound examinations
- Setting up new radiology Department through policy and guide line formulation
- Managing radiology Department
- Putting and setting radiation control measures to the public, Patient/client and members of staff.
- Conduction radiology test such x-ray machine Output quality and other radiology machine
- Conducting General x-ray, ultrasound examination and computerized Tomography Examination(CT) examinations
- Evaluate patients’ medical condition and history to determine most suitable radiographic technique for diagnosis.
- Working with medical Doctor/Specialist and other health workers on how to produce images of diagnostic value.
- Provide support and reassurance to patients, taking into account their physical and psychological needs.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum qualification of Diploma in Radiography.
- Registered with Medical Council of Malawi
