Call for Applications: ACET Youth Policy Lab 2026
Donor Name: African Center for Economic Transformation
Applications are now open for the young Africans to engage in simulated policymaking processes that strengthen governance thinking and practical problem-solving skills.
The initiative focuses on corruption and public procurement, public spending and transparency, environment, healthcare, and education as key development priority areas addressed through youth-led policy design. The initiative ultimately provides a structured pathway for young participants to develop practical governance skills through collaboration, mentorship, and competitive policy design, while contributing to inclusive and sustainable development discussions across the continent.
Participants then refine and present their policy ideas during a pitching phase on November 4, 2026, after which top teams are selected, recognised, and featured for their work. Selected participants may also gain entry into the YES Ambassador Program, which connects them to a broader regional youth network focused on leadership and innovation.
Eligibility is limited to young Africans aged 18 to 35 who are citizens of African countries and are interested in building competencies in policy analysis, innovation, and leadership within governance spaces where youth representation is often limited.
