The Immerse Education Essay Competition invites students aged 13–18 worldwide to submit a 500-word essay on a subject of interest for the chance to win a full or partial scholarship toward an Immerse course.

Since 2020, the competition has invited students to explore their academic interests through essay writing and receives thousands of entries each year.

Entrants choose from questions spanning a range of subjects and submit an essay responding to their selected question. The competition also offers a participation award recognising academic potential.

Winners receive a 100% scholarship for an Immerse in-person or online course, while runners-up may receive partial scholarships of up to 75% for a course.

The competition is open to students worldwide who will be aged 13–18 when the programme covered by a scholarship begins.

Entrants must submit a 500-word essay. Essays are assessed on communication of ideas, word choice and structure, critical analysis, evidence and inference, and spelling, punctuation and grammar, with age groups also taken into account.
