ActionAid Malawi is a locally registered non‐governmental organisation under the Company’s Act 1984 as a company limited by guarantee and is affiliated to ActionAid International, a federation of national organizations working in over 45 countries in Africa, Asia, America, and Europe regions. ActionAid International is a global justice Federation working to achieve social justice, gender equality and poverty eradication. ActionAid works to strengthen the capacity and active agency of people living in poverty and exclusion, especially women, to assert their rights.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacant positions:

1. Business Development Specialist

Reporting to: Programmes and Business Development Lead.

Duration: 1 year renewable depending on funding and performance

Location: Lilongwe

Role Overview: The role holder leads development and implementation of fundraising strategy for income growth and achievement of the Country Strategy Paper objectives. S(he) leads in conducting market research, donor intelligence/scoping, identification of new opportunities, develop business models, take resource mobilization initiatives with a diverse range of funding agencies i.e., ActionAid affiliates, Institutional and High Value donors.  The roles are responsible for ensuring compliance and effective grant management
