Open Call: Holohil Grant Program for Conservation Research

Donor Name: Holohil

Reference URL:https://www.holohil.com/grant-program/

The Holohil Grant Program provides support to conservation professionals and researchers worldwide for well-designed studies that advance scientific knowledge and contribute to conservation.

Holohil has supported endangered-species research and educational work for more than 40 years, historically donating transmitters primarily for bat and raptor research. Introduced in 2016, the program extends that support to other species with significant research or conservation value.

Projects should make significant use of Holohil transmitters, advance scientific knowledge, contribute to conservation, engage or educate the public, or involve underrepresented study species of high research or conservation value.

Each quarter, the program provides Holohil transmitters valued at up to CAD$2,500.00 and pays shipping charges. Recipients are responsible for importation duties and taxes; if a project requires more units than the award covers, the award is applied as a credit toward the transmitter order.

Scientists and non-scientists from anywhere in the world may apply. Applicants should submit one project per quarter, and the project summary must not exceed 500 words or one page. Applications may be submitted by email at any time for inclusion in the current quarterly evaluation cycle.

Successful applicants are asked to keep Holohil updated when possible, acknowledge its support in presentations, meetings, and publications, and provide a one-page project update with photos and findings for posting on the recipients page.
