The Planet Health Film Fund invites documentary filmmakers to develop ten-minute films grounded in real lives, places and communities, exploring how people can live healthier lives while remaining connected to nature in an increasingly urbanised world.

Films may explore how neighbourhoods and access to green and blue spaces shape health; how food, movement, air and everyday surroundings affect physical health; how nature and environmental pressures shape mental wellbeing; or how people inherit and pass on relationships with the natural world. The fund provides financial backing for selected documentary films; no amount is stated on the page.

Applicants should have directed at least one completed documentary film, short or feature-length, or comparable authored non-fiction work selected for a recognised film festival or commissioned or distributed by an established broadcaster, editorial or documentary platform. The brief also asks filmmakers to demonstrate a genuine connection to their story or community, documentary craft, care in working with real people, and openness to creative dialogue with Earthrise.
