Global Aids Interfaith Alliance (GAIA) is a secular, non-profit organization committed to increasing health equity globally. Founded in 2000 by Episcopal priest Bill Rankin and neurosurgeon Dr. Charlie Wilson, GAIA’s mission is to strengthen healthcare in underserved African communities, particularly in Malawi. Since its inception, GAIA has worked to combat the devastating impacts of HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria by providing compassionate, patient-centered healthcare services in some of the most remote and vulnerable communities.
