
Lilongwe Catholic Health Commission (LLCHC)
Lilongwe Catholic Health Commission (LLCHC) is the Social and Health Arm of the Catholic Archdiocese of Lilongwe. It ensures that the health services that the Catholic Church provides in the Archdiocese are accessible to the rural masses and the quality of care being provided is in line with professional standards and in the footsteps of Jesus Christ the founder of the Healing Ministry. The Archdiocese covers seven districts of Lilongwe, Kasungu, Dowa, Ntchisi, Nkhotakota, Salima and Mchinji.
LLCHC champions the following two major tasks, mandates and operations:
- Coordination of health services at its 17 health facilities.
- Coordination of community health programmes such as HIIV/AIDS, Nutrition, Tuberculosis, Sexual and reproductive health, Early Childhood Development, Malaria, OVC, Maternal and Child Health, Water Hygiene and Sanitation, School Health COVID 19 Response Mechanism and Gender Based Violence among others.
