The National Local Government Finance Committee (NLGFC) is a constitutional body established under Section 149 of the Constitution of Malawi (1994). Further powers and functions of the NLGFC are outlined in the Local Government Act (1998). The NLGFC is tasked with mobilizing, distributing, and ensuring the efficient and effective utilization of financial resources among local authorities to promote effective service delivery and development across Malawi. The organization’s headquarters is located in Lilongwe, Malawi.
