Timveni Child and Youth Media Organisation
Timveni Child and Youth Media Organisation (commonly known as Timveni) was established to amplify the voices of children and young people in Malawi. Launched in 2011, Timveni utilises radio and television as platforms where children and youth express their views, hone their talents, and showcase their skills, at a time when mainstream media is dominated by adult-focused content that often overlooks the perspectives of children and young people. Over time, Timveni has evolved into a fully-fledged NGO, equipped with staff and technology to design and implement projects, and to develop, produce, and broadcast impactful media content for advocacy, empowerment, awareness, and entertainment purposes. Timveni aims to empower children and young people to actively engage with duty bearers on issues that affect them.
