United Nations Secretariat (UN)
The United Nations Secretariat is one of the six principal organs of the United Nations (UN), playing a central role in the organization’s operations, administrative functions, and implementation of decisions made by other UN bodies. Headed by the Secretary-General, the Secretariat is the backbone of the UN, facilitating the execution of day-to-day tasks and delivering the core functions needed to address global challenges such as peace, security, human rights, and sustainable development.
