The Women and Biosphere: International Photo Competition is inviting participants to portray women’s roles in sustainable development, biodiversity conservation, natural resource management and the relationship between women and water.

Entries may explore water and nature, including climate change and transformations of the land; women’s roles in social and cultural life, local traditions, education, sustainable tourism, and territorial memory; or women’s work, female-led businesses, sustainable agriculture, scientific research, natural resource management, biodiversity protection, and ecosystem care.

The competition lists prizes totaling 5,000 euros. The photography competition, open to photographers from around the world, both professionals and amateurs, invites them to explore, through the lens of photography, not only the relationship between women and nature, but also the socioeconomic dynamics that place women at the forefront of their work. We invite those who live and work in these areas, as well as those who visit them or wish to report on them from outside.
