The EQUALS Global Partnership’s EQUALS in Tech Awards recognize organizations and initiatives using technology to advance digital gender equality and close the digital gender divide through work that benefits women and girls worldwide.

The annual awards recognize initiatives at global, regional and national levels that use technology to transform the lives of women and girls.

The 2027 categories are Emerging Tech for Inclusion, Digital Skills & Leadership Pathways, and Safe and Inclusive Digital Spaces. They cover equitable access to emerging technologies, digital skills and routes to leadership in the digital economy, and digital environments free from online violence, harassment and exclusion.

Applications are open worldwide to civil society and nongovernmental organizations, government institutions, international organizations, academic and research institutions, private-sector entities, multistakeholder initiatives, social enterprises and entrepreneurial ventures. Each application must present a specific programme, initiative or project aligned with one of the categories, and it must still be ongoing when the application is submitted; applications recognizing an organization as a whole are not eligible.

Eligible applications are independently assessed on impact, reach, scalability and replicability, innovation, and collaboration. Winners receive recognition from the EQUALS Global Partnership, join its community of support and can expand their networks.
