Enterprise Payments and Product Manager

An exciting opportunity exists for an Enterprise Payments and Product Manager to join our team in Malawi.

The main purpose of this role is to provide oversight and drive corporate enterprise sales.

The EPP Manager reports directly to the Country Manager. This position is responsible for marketing the enterprise and corporate products, Identifying leads and ensure tracking of status till closure and processing Enterprise Payment submissions. The EPP Manager drives the identification of potential corporates and NGOs that would be interested in our bulk payment solution. They will also be responsible for ensuring registration, order creation, reporting and support for Enterprise customers are done timeously and excellently. They are required to liaise with customers directly in a manner that represents our brand values and strengthens their affinity towards the company brand.

Internal liaison takes place with the wider EPP and VAS Team, Finance, Compliance and Business Development and Sales team. External liaison takes place with Enterprise customers.

Duties and Responsibilities (Include but is not limited to):

  • Market the enterprise payment solution to corporates
  • Identify new leads and ensure they are uploaded in ASANA for tracking and status reporting
  • Conversion of leads to customers and delivering contracts
  • Following up on Leads provided by digital support and other internal stakeholders
  • Facilitate the registration of Enterprise Payment customers
  • Ensure all required registration documentation is sent to EPP customers
  • Provide assistance to customers with the completion of forms
  • Follow-up on outstanding documentation
  • Review all received documentation and resolve any issues
  • Forward all submissions to relevant internal departments (business development and compliance)
  • Facilitate order creation
  • Review CSV submissions for order creations and generate invoices for customers
  • Ensure all CSV’s are uploaded to Valtari and create bulk orders
  • Liaise with cash logistics to coordinate cash collections as well as with Treasury (SA) to confirm receipt of funds
  • Ensure orders are marked as paid once confirmed
  • Generate initial order status report for customers to confirm order creation
  • Review CSV submissions for order creations and generate invoices for customers
  • Ensure all CSV’s are uploaded to Valtari and create bulk orders
  • Liaise with cash logistics to coordinate cash collections as well as with Treasury (SA) to confirm receipt of funds
  • Provide order support to Enterprise Payment customers
  • Provide assistance to customers with editing/changes to orders (name and number changes)
  • Follow-up with recipients that have failed to collect / unable to collect
  • Carry out order / batch recalls
  • Provide CRM and business development support
  • Identify and follow up with inactive customers
  • Generate periodic status reports for customers with uncollected orders
  • Carry out periodic checks for RFP’s
  • Schedule payments to align with off peak periods
  • Curate weekly sales statistics
  • Present progress on lead identification
  • Gather and present weekly status of all EPP leads
  • Manage own professional and self-development

Key Requirements:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Sales and Marketing qualification Degree (Essential)
  • At least 5 years sales experience of these, 2 years should be at managerial level (Essential)
  • Experience in managing a Salesforce
  • Knowledge of sales and marketing principles
  • Knowledge of how to generate marketing collateral
  • Knowledge of marketing collateral
  • Knowledge of procurement methodology
