Donor Name: International Computer Science Competition
The International Computer Science Competition offers students worldwide an opportunity to develop their analytical and problem-solving skills through a globally accessible and research-driven competition.
The competition focuses on fostering engagement with computer science, encouraging exploration beyond standard curricula, and promoting both theoretical and practical understanding of the discipline, including areas such as information theory, machine learning, natural language processing, cryptography, optimization theory, and computer architecture, while also emphasizing real-world research exposure, global participation, digital accessibility, and scalable difficulty levels to support learners at different stages.
Participants benefit from international exposure, networking opportunities, and recognition through certificates and awards. The competition also connects students with a global community, offering access to further opportunities such as internships, scholarships, and events in the field of computer science.
The total funding amount for prizes in the competition is $1,500 USD, distributed across different categories and age groups. Cash prizes are awarded to top performers in Junior, Youth, and Senior categories, with first, second, and third place winners receiving varying amounts along with special certificates, while additional recognition includes national awards, honours for finalists, and participation certificates for all entrants.
Eligibility criteria require participants to be current high school or university students from any country. The competition is divided into three age categories: Junior for students in 10th grade or below and under 16 years of age, Youth for students in 11th to 13th grade and under 19 years of age, and Senior for students in the first year of university or older, typically aged 19 or above. Participants must have access to a computer, a stable internet connection, and sufficient English comprehension skills to engage with the problems and research materials.
