The International Development Grant Program has launched its applications to support projects that advance the development and dissemination of behavior analysis outside the United States.

The grant focuses on addressing systems-level issues, creating lasting infrastructure to enhance behavior analysis over the long term, expanding behavior science into new areas, promoting high-quality education in behavior analysis, supporting research development, advancing the application of behavior analysis, and using behavior science to address the needs of communities experiencing concentrated disadvantage.

The grant provides financial assistance ranging from US$1,000 to US$5,000 per award to eligible individuals or organizations interested in developing behavior analysis internationally. Up to 10 grants will be awarded annually, and applicants must clearly detail all proposed expenses in their budget statements.

Projects that address systems-level challenges or establish lasting infrastructure with the potential to enhance behavior analysis in a region over the long term will receive the most favorable consideration. One-time events, such as workshops that influence individuals without contributing to broader systems or infrastructure, are generally not considered appropriate.

The grant does not cover one-time events unlikely to have a lasting impact, for-profit workshops, seminars or other events, stipends for applicants, administrative support, other labor or assistance, or expenses related to refreshments and hospitality.

The grant seeks to increase opportunities for individuals and organizations that lack the necessary resources to expand important information and knowledge about behavior analysis worldwide. Coordinators and faculty members of established international Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI)-recognized programs, including accredited programs, may apply. Individuals interested in developing an ABAI-recognized or accredited program are also encouraged to apply, provided they meet the applicable program requirements.
