The Yves Rocher Foundation Terre de Femmes International Award is pleased to announce its applications to support women or collectives of women leading urban tree-focused conservation projects through non-profit organisations worldwide.

The Terre de Femmes International Award, established by the Yves Rocher Foundation, aims to highlight and support the vital role of trees in urban environments by empowering women leaders in nature conservation. The 2027 edition focuses on the theme “Trees in the City,” reflecting the urgent need to address the decline of urban green spaces and the increasing vulnerability of cities to climate change and environmental stressors.

This award seeks to recognize and fund concrete projects led by women or collectives of women, implemented through non-profit organisations that have been established for at least one year. Eligible projects must place trees at the heart of urban life, with actions that may include immersive educational initiatives, innovative agroforestry systems, preservation of heritage trees, urban greening, creation of native tree nurseries, re-greening of densely built areas, and restoration of urban and peri-urban green spaces.

Each of the two winners selected globally will receive a €10,000 grant per project, along with the opportunity to join a community of committed women working for environmental change. Applicants must be women of legal age or collectives of women, residing in any country, and their projects must be carried out through a non-profit organisation (association, NGO, foundation, etc.) that has existed for at least one year. The call is open to all nationalities and countries worldwide.
