Lindian Resources Mining Ltd is expanding operations at Kangankunde Mine and as we advance through construction, commissioning, and operations, we are seeking qualified and motivated professionals to join our growing team in the following positions: –

Role Summary
The Medical Officer will lead the delivery of on-site medical and occupational health services, ensuring workforce health, emergency preparedness, and compliance with Malawian regulations and international best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and operate the site clinic and emergency medical systems
- Provide clinical care and occupational health services
- Conduct medical surveillance and fitness-for-work assessments
- Lead disease prevention and health promotion programmes
- Coordinate emergency response and medical evacuations
- Maintain compliance with health legislation and reporting requirements
Minimum Requirements
- MBBS/MBChB with valid Malawi Medical Council registration
- Minimum 5 years’ experience(including 3 years in occupational/industrial health)
- Strong knowledge of workplace health legislation and emergency medicine
- Paramedic
Role Summary
The Paramedic will provide frontline emergency medical care, support occupational health initiatives, and ensure effective emergency response readiness on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide pre-hospital care
- Conduct triage, stabilization, and patient transfer
- Maintain emergency response equipment and first aid readiness
- Support health surveillance and wellness programmes
- Train first aiders and emergency response teams
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma in Paramedic Science or Emergency Medical Care
- Registered with relevant authority in Malawi
- Minimum 3 years’ experiencein emergency medical services
- BLS/ALS certification required
- HSE Compliance Officer
Role Summary
The HSE Compliance Officer will support the implementation and monitoring of health, safety, and environmental compliance systems, ensuring adherence to legal, regulatory, and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor compliance with HSE policies, legislation, and standards
- Conduct inspections, audits, and compliance assessments
- Maintain compliance registers and documentation
- Support contractor compliance and HSMS implementation
- Participate in incident investigations and corrective action tracking
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or related field
- Minimum 3 years’ experiencein HSE compliance or similar role
- Knowledge of ISO 45001 and regulatory frameworks
- Emergency Response Officer
Role Summary
The Emergency Response Officer is responsible for coordinating and maintaining the site’s emergency preparedness and response capability, ensuring that personnel, systems, and equipment are always in a state of readiness to effectively respond to incidents across all project phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain the site Emergency Response Plan (ERP)
- Coordinate emergency preparedness activities and risk assessments
- Lead and support Emergency Response Team (ERT)readiness and training
- Conduct emergency drills, simulations, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Oversee firefighting, rescue, and evacuation capabilities
- Inspect and maintain emergency equipment and communication systems
- Support incident management, investigations, and reporting
- Liaise with external emergency services and stakeholders
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma in Emergency Management, Fire Technology, OHS, or related discipline
- Minimum 3 years’ experiencein emergency response, fire services, or rescue operations
- Strong knowledge of emergency response systems and incident management
- Experience conducting drills, inspections, and emergency coordination
- Health & Safety Officer
Role Summary
The Health & Safety Officer will provide frontline safety supervision across construction activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, proactive risk management, and the consistent application of safe work practices across all contractors and work fronts.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Support hazard identification (HIRA) and Job Safety Analyses (JSA)
- Monitor and enforce Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, PPE requirements, and safe work practices
- Participate in incident and near-miss investigations and corrective actions
- Deliver safety inductions, toolboxes, and awareness campaigns
- Support emergency preparedness activities and inspections
- Maintain accurate HSE records, reports, and KPI tracking
Minimum Requirements
- Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or related field
- Minimum 3 years’ experiencein construction or mining safety roles
- Strong knowledge of risk management, PTW systems, and safety legislation
- Experience working in multi-contractor environments
- Environmental Officer
Role Summary
The Environmental Officer will support the implementation of environmental management systems and ensure compliance with environmental legislation, permits, and company standards while minimizing environmental impact across construction and operational activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor the Environmental Management Plan (EMP)
- Conduct environmental inspections, audits, and compliance monitoring
- Support monitoring of air quality, water, noise, dust, and biodiversity
- Manage waste handling, hazardous materials, and spill response processes
- Ensure compliance with environmental permits and regulatory requirements
- Maintain environmental records, registers, and reporting systems
- Deliver environmental awareness training and inductions
- Support incident investigations and continuous improvement initiatives
Minimum Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Environmental Science or related discipline
- Minimum 3 years’ experiencein environmental management
- Knowledge of environmental legislation, monitoring, and reporting systems
- Experience in mining, construction, or infrastructure projects preferred
General Requirements (All Roles)
- Experience in mining, construction, or industrial environmentswill be an added advantage.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability and prepared to work in a remote site environment with high temperatures.
