ISIDORe II offers free-of-charge access to research infrastructure services for researchers working on Andes virus (ANDV) and ANDV-relevant hantavirus research.

The ISIDORe II project, funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe programme, provides transnational access to a comprehensive catalogue of research infrastructure services for the study of Andes virus (ANDV) and ANDV-relevant hantaviruses. This initiative aims to accelerate research and innovation in the field of hantavirus by supporting projects that address key scientific and public health challenges.

Applicants may request access to a wide range of services, including analytical services, clinical research support, drug discovery, ex vivo and in vivo models, imaging, immunomonitoring, reference materials, regulatory advice, structural biology, and vaccine development. Proposals must address at least one of the following priority areas: evaluation of therapeutic or non-vaccine prophylactic candidates, development or benchmarking of diagnostic tools and reagents, or use and characterisation of models and experimental systems relevant to ANDV or ANDV-relevant hantavirus research.

Free-of-charge access to these services is provided for eligible projects, with at least 80% of access reserved for users from EU Member States or countries associated with Horizon Europe, and up to 20% available to international users where justified and eligible under ISIDORe II rules.

The call is open to researchers from academia, public research organisations, public-health-linked research bodies, industry, SMEs, and other relevant research-performing organisations. Priority is given to applicants who have not previously received support under the first ISIDORe grant. All applicants must comply with ethical, biosafety, biosecurity, data protection, access, reporting, and visibility requirements.

To apply, researchers must select the desired service from the ISIDORe II catalogue, create a profile in the ISIDORe Access Management System, and submit a pre-application form describing their research proposal. Applications are evaluated for eligibility, feasibility, and scientific merit by an independent panel. Successful applicants will be contacted to agree on next steps and implementation timelines.
