Job title: Sales Representative
Work Location: Lilongwe – Malawi
Reports to: Depot Supervisor
The Sales Representative will be responsible for promoting and selling the company’s products to existing and potential customers within their designated sales territory. They will work closely with the sales team to achieve sales targets, build strong customer relationships, and ensure customer satisfaction
·Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the company’s products, services, and value proposition.
·Develop and maintain a sales plan for the designated territory, including identifying and prioritizing sales opportunities, setting sales targets, and developing strategies to achieve those targets.
·Prospect and develop new business opportunities, including identifying potential customers, making initial contact, and building relationships.
·Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring customer satisfaction, and identifying opportunities for additional sales.
·Provide sales presentations and product demonstrations to customers and prospects, using technical knowledge and expertise to effectively communicate the value proposition of the company’s products.
·Work closely with the sales team to develop and execute sales strategies and tactics specific to the distribution of FMCGs.
·Monitor and report on sales performance metrics, including sales volume, revenue, and market share.
·Attend trade shows and other industry events specific to company products to represent the company and promote its products.
The Sales Representative will work in a fast-paced sales environment with frequent communication with customers, prospects, and other stakeholders in the industry, and frequent travel to remote areas may be required.
·Advanced diploma in sales, marketing, business administration, or a related field.
·Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales or marketing, preferably in the FMCG industry.
·Valid Driver’s License with adequate experience driving manual cars
·Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and work effectively as part of a sales team.
·Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
·Strong sales skills, with the ability to identify customer needs, overcome objections, and close sales specific to the FMCG industry.
·Ability to work independently and take initiative, with a focus on achieving sales targets in the FMCG industry.
·Strong technical knowledge and expertise in the company’s products and services.
·Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic sales environment specific to FMCG distribution.
