Job Title: Warehouse Intern

Reports to: Depot Supervisor

Position Summary: As a Warehouse Intern, the candidate will play a vital role in optimizing our warehouse operations, contributing to the smooth and efficient distribution of FMCGs. This internship offers a valuable opportunity for candidates seeking practical experience in supply chain and procurement.

Major Responsibilities:
As a Warehouse Intern, your responsibilities will include:
1. Quality Assurance: Ensuring the excellence of receiving, identifying, dispatching, and maintaining the quality of goods, with a focus on preventing the supply of expired or near-expiry items to our customers.
2. Performance Measurement: Measuring and reporting on warehousing activities and the performance of dispatched goods to identify areas for improvement.
3. Inventory Management: Organizing and maintaining the inventory and storage area to ensure items are correctly stored and easily accessible.
4. Accuracy: Ensuring the accuracy of load and inventory transactions by maintaining error-free records.
5. Documentation: Maintaining comprehensive records of items, documenting necessary information, and utilizing reports to accurately project the warehouse’s status.
6. Continuous Improvement: Identifying areas for improvement and innovatively adjusting work procedures and practices to enhance warehouse operations.
7. Cross-functional Coordination: Collaborating and coordinating activities with other departments to ensure a seamless flow of goods and information.
8. Reporting: Providing stock position reports every Friday and on Mondays after all dispatch activities are completed.
9. Documentation Updates: Regularly updating Bin cards and ensuring that Goods Issue Notes (GIN) and Goods Receipt Notes (GRN) are updated and properly authorized for every movement.
10. Discrepancy Reporting: Immediately reporting any discrepancies in stock levels and taking appropriate actions to resolve them.

Work Conditions
The Warehouse Intern will work in a fast-paced sales environment, specifically in FMCG distribution. This role requires the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. You may also need to communicate frequently with customers, prospects, and industry stakeholders, with occasional travel to remote areas as required.

Educational Requirement & Work Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Procurement.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Must be reliable, punctual, and available to work on Saturdays when required.
