Job Overview
CPL is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the position of Electrical Technician in the Electrical Department. The role involves installation, maintenance, and monitoring of plant electrical equipment while ensuring strict adherence to safety standards.
The Role
The Electrical Technician will be responsible for installing new equipment, maintaining existing systems, monitoring plant operations, and reporting all electrical matters to supervisors.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, circuit breakers, and machinery
• Conduct regular inspections to identify hazards, defects, and repair needs
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults using appropriate testing equipment
• Install electrical systems and appliances according to schematics and industry standards
• Monitor plant equipment and ensure compliance with safety procedures
• Communicate electrical issues and updates clearly to supervisors
Qualifications and Skills
• Grade 1 or Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification
• Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in plant operations
• Strong technical and troubleshooting skills
• Good communication skills
• Commitment to safety and quality standards
