Save the Children

Neonatal mortality remains a critical concern in Malawi, with 24 deaths per 1,000 live births. Small and sick newborns (SSNBs), including preterm, low birth weight, and critically ill infants account for a substantial proportion of these deaths.
While effective interventions exist, many require facility-based care and consistent access to adequate breast milk or breast milk alternatives, resources that are often limited by economic disparities and systemic challenges.
As part of the Bundle Up! project, supported by Innovasjon Norge, Save the Children is inviting innovators, suppliers, researchers, startups, healthcare professionals, and organizations to collaborate in identifying solutions to improve nutritional care for SSNBs in Malawi.
