Banja La Mtsogolo (BLM) is the largest non-profit provider of sexual and reproductive health services in Malawi, dedicated to expanding access to essential healthcare for women, men, and adolescents. Established in 1987, BLM has played a pivotal role in improving sexual and reproductive health and rights across Malawi’s 28 districts. With a focus on reducing unsafe abortions and maternal mortality, BLM offers a wide range of high-quality services, including modern contraceptive methods, maternal healthcare, and cervical cancer screening. BLM’s mission is centered on “Children by choice, not by chance.”

Founded by Marie Stopes International (MSI), BLM was created to address Malawi’s high maternal mortality rates and lack of access to contraception and reproductive health services. Since its inception, BLM has grown to become the most trusted provider of reproductive health services, ensuring that individuals across Malawi, particularly women and youth, receive the care they need at every stage of life. BLM works under the guiding mission of empowering people to make informed choices about their reproductive health, emphasizing the importance of planned pregnancies and safe motherhood.

You can contact BLM customer care through their official Facebook, Twitter, or their headquarters in Lilongwe for any inquiries.
