The National AIDS Commission (NAC) is a public trust established by the Government of Malawi in July 2001 to provide leadership and coordination for the national response to HIV and AIDS. NAC’s mission is to manage, supervise, and evaluate efforts in HIV prevention, treatment, care, and support, as well as to mitigate the impact of the epidemic in Malawi. By collaborating with government ministries, NGOs, community leaders, and other stakeholders, NAC works to enhance the effectiveness of policies and programs aimed at combating HIV and AIDS in the country.
