The SCI Innovation Award recognises scientific innovation in industry achieved through collaborative partnerships across companies or with academia.

The winners will receive a framed certificate for each contributing team and a trophy to be shared between the winning teams. The award is open to individuals or teams working in companies of any size or country, and welcomes nominations for innovations achieved through collaboration with other individuals, teams, companies, or academic institutions.

Eligible innovations must be related to science in industries with a primary focus on products or processes requiring chemistry or chemistry-related science, and should align with SCI’s key theme areas of Global Health, Climate Change, and Sustainability. Applicants are required to demonstrate measurable outcomes resulting from their innovation, and applications that show a material impact for society will be favoured.
