The Ole Staxen Foundation offers a four-week artist residency at Refugiet Rævehaugen with a grant for artists who have completed an artistic education or equivalent degree within the past five years.

The program is designed to support emerging artists by providing time and space to develop their artistic projects or practices, with a focus on those who have completed their artistic education or an equivalent relevant degree within the past five years.

Each residency lasts approximately four weeks and is scheduled between May and October, with fixed check-in and check-out dates. Residents may choose between the artist’s studio or the ceramics studio, depending on their practice and project needs. The Foundation prioritises applicants with specific projects that would benefit from the residency environment.

All selected artists receive a grant of DKK 20,000 (EUR 2675), which can be used towards travel expenses, materials, and food during their stay. Grant recipients are responsible for procuring any necessary materials, as the Foundation does not provide them directly. Applicants must submit a single PDF file (max 5 MB) including a project description (max 1 page), CV (max 2 pages), work samples (max 5 pages), preferred residency period, and studio preference.
